A New Year's Letter from Jakub

I feel like it was yesterday that I sat down to write the previous New Year’s letter. Yet when I look at what Mana has achieved since then, it’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year. This just proves that time flies when you’re working hard and having fun, especially when you’re part of an awesome team like we have. It’s become a Mana tradition to summarise our progress at New Year’s, so without further ado, here is the best of 2019.

In January, we released the first flavoured versions of Mana in drink form. Shortly after, in the same month, we followed up with their powder equivalents, for a total of 4 flavours and 8 products.

In May, we launched our e-shop in Slovakia - another major step towards global distribution of sustainable food.

Shortly after, the number of retail shops selling our drinks rose to over 1,000! These include supermarkets, drugstores, newsagents, petrol stations, and convenience stores. In other words, places where people need quick, healthy food the most.

In summer, we released our first official taster packs in response to popular demand. Thank you for being so insistent. Your feedback is part of what challenges us and helps us grow!

In October, we opened our second international branch in the USA (the first is located in Germany). This was a huge milestone. As you may already know, the U.S. has different standards and laws for just about everything, so getting our product into the country was no walk in the park. It took us year and a half, but we are proud to say that our bestselling Origin Powder is now on sale there, and that we are currently taking U.S. pre-orders for our latest invention…

...In December, after 3 whole years of development, we announced the ManaBurger™ - the world’s 1st nutritionally complete, plant-based alternative to the traditional beef burger. Not only does it outperform traditional beef burgers in terms of look, taste, smell, and mouthfeel, but production requires 90% less energy, water, and land use. It is now available for pre-order in the U.S., Germany, and the Czech Republic.

Last but not least, we spent the entire year working on Mark 6, the 6th and most powerful  version of Mana Powder to date. With 6 types of protein, 6 types of fat, 6 types of fibre, and new forms of vitamins and minerals, its nutritional composition is unrivalled. As you can see from the above, Mana is more than just a food. It is a road sign to the future of food, a culmination of cutting-edge technology and research. Over the last 6 years, we have carefully designed it to be nutritionally complete, ecologically sustainable, and very, very tasty. In the short term, it saves us time and fills us up, but in the long term, it is an investment in the health of our planet and future generations. But, before you raise your glass…
